Hi! Its me, Katie! Ive been a licensed hairstylist for almost 15 years, woof that’s kinda nuts to say out loud. After studying graphic design and working for a local Bay Area magazine, I decided being behind a computer screen wasn’t for me. I made a career change and became part of the 3rd graduating class of Cinta Aveda Institute here in San Francisco.

After graduating, I had the privilege of training under some of the best stylists in the city, and within 18 months, I completed the haircutting program at Joseph Cozza Salon and got my own chair!

I now have just shy of 15 years of experience cutting hair behind the chair and I continue to stay current with advanced education locally and online. I am passionate about low maintenance moveable styles that have an easy grow out and that work well with your natural texture and where your hair naturally wants to live and lay.

My favorites are long textured layers, bobs and mens cuts.

Over 5 years ago I decided it was time to add color under my belt and threw myself full-heartedly into education, in-person and online. I feel as if formulating your desired hair color is something that comes very naturally to me and honestly it is a part of my job I was surprised to love as much as I do.

My favorites are sparkly natural blondes and balayage.

I love my job and I believe hair is woven into our emotional being and therefore can have a profound influence on how we feel day to day. I love that I can be a part of how you feel on a daily basis.

I currently live in Hayes Valley with two little animals: FernKitty and Arty (who you may have met or can meet at Little Sparrow). A shout out to my dear SukiCat and HuckyPie, RIP.
